Anyone who has turned on the radio in the last several decades knows Heart intimately. California born Seattle bred sisters Nancy and Ann Wilson are behind some of rock's most iconic hits from the wild call of "Barracuda" to the epic lilt of "Magic Man" to the deranged shriek of "Crazy On You." Nancy's guitar and Ann's wail are practically part of the national archive, indelible elements of American pop culture. In their nearly forty years as a band the Wilson sisters have been lauded as sex symbols, idealized as feminist icons, and worshiped by critics and fans alike, selling over 35 million albums worldwide and thrilling audiences with their raucous live show. But as the band gear up for the October 2nd release of a brand new studio album, Fanatic, as well as their first ever biography, Kicking and Dreaming: A Story of Heart, Soul and Rock and Roll the question isn't where has Heart been but where are they going next?

For Keith Urban's sixth studio album, Get Closer, the singer-songwriter dives even deeper into the explorations of love and relationships that have established him as one of the world's biggest country music stars-while also extending his rock & roll side, as his hard-charging guitar work reaches new heights. The album is the follow-up to 2009's Grammy-winning and platinum selling Defying Gravity, which entered Billboard's pop and country charts at Number One, and spun off five Top Ten hits, including the chart-toppers "Sweet Thing" and "Only You Can Love Me This Way."

Goo Goo Dolls
|Goo Goo Dolls|
After more than two decades as a band, with nine albums, a catalog of songs that have become ingrained in the pop consciousness and countless concerts for millions of fans, the Goo Goo Dolls are feeling particularly good about their new album: Magnetic.
More to the point, the Goo Goo Dolls are feeling particularly good. Period. "This album was really upbeat and fun," says John Rzeznik, the trio's primary singer, songwriter and guitarist since it was founded in Buffalo in 1986. "I don't think we've made a record like this in a while. Just had a great time doing it." It's a great time overall for the musicians. Bassist Robby Takac, whose partnership with Rzeznik has been the band's foundation since the start, and his wife have just had their first child. And Rzeznik is getting married this summer. Not to mention that recently three of the band's songs placed in Billboard's Top 100 of 2002-2012, with "Iris" standing at No. 1. That song has also connected with a new generation, as Dolls fan Taylor Swift has been performing it in her concerts.

Adam Levine acknowledges that the title of the new Maroon 5 album is something of an inside joke-a wink at the Los Angeles-based band's seeming omnipresence, particularly in the wake of the frontman's joining the cast of NBC's The Voice and of "Moves Like Jagger," the 2011 smash that topped charts in 18 countries across the globe and became one of the most paid downloaded songs in history.
"It's like, 'We get it-we're overexposed,'" Levine says with a laugh. "We're just trying to preemptively go where the conversation is headed anyway. We figured we'd get there first."
Check this out, though: If Overexposed gets at the truth of Maroon 5's sky-high visibility-perhaps you're reading these words in preparation for spreading the word a little further yourself-the title carries another meaning, as well, one that runs a few inches below the surface of things. After a decade of activity in which the 3 time Grammy-winning quintet has gone from playing tiny L.A. clubs to becoming one of the biggest bands in the world, this album captures Maroon 5's decision to open itself up to risk.
