“It is an honor to be recognized for my solo music, I enjoy recording and playing live at local NC venues and festivals. My latest musical adventure is playing with Molly Vaugthers in our band Acoustic Grounds. We have been fortunate to play gigs all over the state and are in the process of recording a full length album due out this fall under the Castnet Records label”.

In recent months Lizzie has joined forces with powerhouse musician Molly Vaughters to create the duo band Acoustic Grounds (www.acousticgrounds.com). Acoustic Grounds, Raleigh, NC based band, offers an unique sound developed by singer/songwriters Molly Vaughters and Lizzie O’Briant. Vaughters, singer/guitar, musical roots come from the obscure Indie underground Swedish bands that focus on storytelling much like the folk music that comes out of her native state North Carolina Mountains. Hints of modern singer/songwriter style, much like the sounds of Jack Johnson, ring from her acoustic guitar. Lizzie O, singer/guitar, brings a current tone to this Duo which keeps the melodies upbeat for a combination that is sure to produce hits for years to come. Lizzie’s strong lyrics set the stage for tight harmonies that shine through brilliantly in each of their original compositions. Their complimentary unique voices and playing styles offer up simply beautiful melodies and harmonies that keep listeners wanting more. The band is currently spending most of their time in the studio writing and recording, but can be found playing gigs at local venues. Discovered by Castnet Records Matt B at a local open mic., “I knew instantly that these two very unique solo artists would be great together”, said Matt B. The result was as expected and today AG offers an original musical experience. Keep a look out for new music and live performances from this very talented, young but adept band.
